Coming soon: Bodyflight Swoop
Work has started on Bodyflight’s newest attraction: Bodyflight swoop.
Bodyflight Swoop is a zip wire running from the roof of the wind tunnel to the edge of the business park.
This new attraction has been planned for some time, and on Thursday we moved one step closer as the wire was installed.
In the photo on the left you can see the Bodyflight team hoisting the wire up to the roof of the tunnel where it is securely attached to the steelwork.
In this photo on the right you can see just how high the roof of the tunnel is, as the people looking up are already on the 3rd floor terrace. Our zip wire is going to be a very exciting addition to the site!
After reaching the roof of the tunnel via a ladder, participants will be individually attached to the zip wire via a secure harness. The top of the zip wire where the exit platform will be is over 120ft high!
Participants will be able to enjoy the beautiful views over the Bedford valley before ‘swooping’ over the business park.
There is still some way to go before completion; the braking system has yet to be installed, as has the exit platform
In this photo you can see the first exciting speed tests taking place with a weighted bag.
