World Challenge results

Perris Fury silver medalistsThis year’s Bodyflight World challenge was once again a nail biting affair! In the FreeFly competition UK team Volare lead the way right up to the final two rounds when Team Bodyflight pipped them at the post, taking Gold by just 0.08 of a point.

In the professional 4-way competition American team Airspeed defended their title to take Gold for the 4th time. They were kept on their toes by a number of top class teams, including fellow Americans Perris Fury  (Pictured left) who broke a world record by scoring 59 points in one round!

Belgium team Hayabusa took Bronze, closely followed by brit team XL who battled it out with France Maubeuge for the 4th and 5th place slots respectively.

Infinity FreeFlyAll in all it was quite an international event, with 17 different countries represented. There was no amateur category in the FreeFly this year, but in the 4-way Team Future took the gold medals in the AA category, with Czech team Fast Arrows taking Silver, Belgian team Phantom Force taking bronze. 4th Place went to the Danish team Altius.

The full score tables are available on the competition website: www.worldchallenge.info and you can look at photos from the weekend here.

Bodyflight would like to say a huge thank you to all of the very kind sponsors who made the event possible, as well as a big thank you to the judges, staff and of course the competitors who always make the competition a pleasure to run.

Already we are looking ahead to next year’s competition, the 3rd and 4th of April 2010.

See you then!
