Bodyflight Storm makes it a double
Bodyflight Storm, the Women's World Champion 4-way formation skydiving team have claimed the national title for the 2nd year in a row.
Bodyflight Storm, made up of team members Claire 'Sparky' Scott, Kate Stephens, Hannah Betts, Sarah Smith and cameraman Gary 'Swoop' Wainwright competed at the British nationals in Lincolnshire over the weekend.
The weather was kind to the competition and the team completed 8 rounds on the first day of jumping.
The final rounds were completed on Sunday morning, but due to a backlog of judging the team didn't find out their scores until late on Sunday evening.
This success follows just one week after the team took gold at the World Championship in France where they beat teams from across the globe for the prestigious title.
Formation skydiving is one of the most competitive disciplines within skydiving. Teams have just 30 seconds to complete as many formations as they can, scoring one point for each, before they have to deploy their parachutes.
Storms next big competition will be the Bodyflight World Challenge, an indoor skydiving competition held here at Bodyflight on the 4th and 5th of April.
