Leisure centre progress

Work on the Bodyflight leisure centre is progressing nicely. The pool is now being dug and concrete is being laid for the sauna/ steam room/ plunge pool area.

Left: Electricians Gavin and Andrew stand in what will be the shallow end of the swiming pool.

This is currently being dug out with the pictured digger. It is approximated that it will take two weeks to dig the pool, followed by a lengthy process of laying concrete and allowing it to fully dry before tiling and filling the pool.

Left: An artists impression of how the finished pool will look.

In the above photo Gav and Andrew are standing approximately where the steps are in this picture.

The pool will include a Jacuzzi and fountain as well as swim jets.

Upstairs the gym area is having plaster board put up ready for plastering next week.

This will be the first area to be completed, although the doors have yet to be cut in the walls leading out onto the roof terrace.

The second roof terrace (The first is on the top floor) will also boast stunning views of the Bedfordshire countryside.

Below: Another drawing of the pool shows the planned bubble seating area at one end of the pool.

Artist impressions of the finished centre show how it will look once the pool is completed.

The Jacuzzi area of the pool will also have DVD players and TV screens (All waterproof of course) installed so that teams can de-brief from their flights in luxury!
