Bodyflight by the river

Bodyflight was pleased to be one the sponsors for this years Bedford River festival. We sponsored the Russell park arena; right next to the BASE jumping display. The river festival is the third largest event in the country behind the Notting Hill Carnival and Glastonbury.
Five Bodyflight instructors did us proud in the river festival raft race, coming 6th in their category despite only having four rowers (Most of the other 40 teams had 8!)
The Bodyflight team stood out from the others as King Neptune himself (Free Fly instructor Michi) sat on a mounted swing above the raft shouting orders to the rowers.
The team made a heroic effort, coming fourth in their heat and narrowly missing out on the best dressed raft prize. The rafters were: Ged Parker, Dave Livsey, Nigel Holland, Mark Meadowcroft and Michi Sandner. Special thanks should also go to Andrew Wise who built the raft.
Sunday saw the Bodyflight balloon race in aid of Keech Cottage. A local Children's Hospice for the terminally ill.
We released 2000 balloons, with the one travelling furthest winning a Bodyflying lesson.Posted 18/07/2006
