On Saturday 23 September Bodyflight celebrated their 1st Birthday with a fancy dress flying party.

Superheroes and villains such as Batman, Xena Warrior Princess and Batfink were spotted in the viewing gallery whilst Superman was seen signing people in at reception.

Villains also took some time out of their busy schedules taking over the world to enjoy the day. Amoung them were Darth Vader, The Wicked Witch, a Storm Trouper, Dr Evil and bizzarely, Ali G!

Mr Incredible, Austin Powers, two Spider Men and three Cat Women were also spotted at the party, leaving their usual everyday alter egos at home.


Flying started at 11am and didn't finish until nearly midnight, when the famous Bodyflight big-way and hybrids took place.


Competitions were held for Tunnel twister and 4-way Scrambles. Congratulations to Maxine Tate, who won the tunnel twister competition with a score of 19.

The Scrambles Meet was won by team 'Happy Clappers' which consisted of Maxine Tate, Ed Morley, Pete Allan and Tarn Hollis.

Saturday also marked the opening of our new Cafe. We welcome Snow White (aka Vicky Griffiths) to the Bodyflight team as Cafe Manager.

The party finished with a fantastic party thanks to DJ Richie. Many people stayed until gone 5 am, enjoying the party vibe and great music.

We are now looking forward to our New years party, tickets are allready on sale!

A big thank you to everyone who came to the party, and also to all of our members, customers and staff who have made the last year so enjoyable.
